Meet your Dance Master
Rosalind Phelps has been a dancer and creative spirit all her life. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama from the University of Washington, and in 2021 she moved to Chicago to pursue professional ballroom dancing. In 2022, she won Top Newcomer at the Arthur Murray World Dance-O-Rama. She proceeded to travel across the country competing professionally.
Now, you can catch her independently teaching and social dancing in venues all over Chicago, as well as working with The Chicago Chorus Girls Project. She teaches a wide variety of partner styles and cultural dance histories, valuing the benefits of becoming well-rounded and curious.
Her classes and events are designed to encourage all types of bodies, ages, and orientations to get out on the dance floor. She hopes to re-popularize social dancing as a means of building joy, longevity, and community in "unprecedented times". She loves dress-up, fantasy books, and travel.
