There are a plethora of hotels near International Museum of Surgical Science.

In particular, I’d like to recommend the Drake Hotel, which is a 0.7 mile walk from the venue. Moreoever, the Drake is a beautiful, historic hotel which hosts an impressive tea service at their Palm Room.

There are two airports close to Chicago - O’Hare airport (close to the blue subway line) and Midway. Both are highly recommended.
