Come one, Come all!

The Soiree will be held at the International Museum of Surgical Science. The theme is Gothic Victorian, with an eye for the beautiful, the mystical, and the unusual. If I had to name several media pieces that capture the feeling of the ball best, it would be Guiermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak, or perhaps his Frankenstein, with some Penny Dreadful thrown in for good measure and Bram Stoker’s Dracula, maybe some of Byron’s peoms

I encourage our guests to go for historical costumes without being confined by accuracy. Go for the aesthetic of the Victorian, the moodiness of a world colored by a mourning queen, and the feel of an era that was touched by the feeling of infinite possibility. Don’t be afraid to make something beautiful at the risk of not having a place in time. Feel inspired by the setting, and the awe inspiring. Go for the magic.
